Truck driver timesheet calculator
Add up a driver's week: start and finish times and breaks give the hours for each day, and the total for the week. Put in the times and it calculates itself.
Truck driver timesheet calculator
| Day | Start | Finish | Breaks (min) | Hours |
|---|
A finish earlier than the start counts as a shift past midnight. Leave a day blank if it wasn't worked. The times are only an example, so put in your own. This page doesn't save or send anything you type.
How the calculator works
- Hours each day = finish − start − breaks. A finish earlier than the start is treated as a shift that ran past midnight.
- Hours for the week = the days added together.
- Average day = the week's hours divided by the days worked.

This is a timesheet, not a work diary. Drivers doing fatigue-regulated work must keep the official NHVR work diary as well.
Common questions
Do breaks count as hours worked?
Unpaid meal breaks don't. Paid rest breaks do, so only put unpaid breaks in the breaks box.
What counts as the start of a shift?
Usually when the driver starts work, including pre-start checks and loading, not when the truck first moves. Check the award or agreement.
How do I handle a shift past midnight?
Put the real start and finish times in the same day's row. The calculator adds the hours past midnight to that shift.
Track it without paper
TrakkHQ drivers clock on and log each job on their phone, and the hours go straight into timesheets and pay batches.
